1954 Fiesta Red #230454

This is a right handed S-Style solid body electric guitar made from alder, finished in a translucent fiesta red. The body is 1.75 inches thick and was hand shaped on a sander with a 1/2 round edge all the way around, and hand carved comfort contours, arm rest and belly cut. The body weighs in at 4.4 lbs. This guitar has a chrome Hipshot US Contour tremolo bridge. The pickguard is a 3-ply black (black/white/black). The pickup configuration is standard s-style with 3 single coils. I wound these pickups myself and they measure out as follows; the neck pickup has .187” ALNICO 5 magnets and reads at 5.3k, the middle pickup has .187” ALNICO 5 magnets and reads at 5.8k and the bridge pickup has .187” ALNICO 5 magnets and reads at 6.5k. These pickups are loud and can be punchy and clean to deliver that S-style sound. The electronics are wired with one master volume pot, and the 2 traditional tone pots for the neck and middle pickups only, with a five way selector switch. The neck is 22 frets and bolted on with recessed chrome ferrules for a sleek look. The neck is all maple with a 9.5” radius and rosewood position markers. The truss rod is a dual action spoke type and located at the heel end. My necks are all hand carved and the profile is considered a “C” shape. This one measures .803” (21.43mm) at the 1st fret and .876” (22.45mm) at the 12^th fret, it’s quite comfortable. The frets are Medium Nickel-Silver .084″ wide by .039″ high. The tuners are chrome HipShot staggered inline type. The nut was hand shaped from bone.

My guitars are set up to play with great action. The frets have been leveled, crowned and polished. The string height at the 1^st fret is .012” and at the 12^th fret it’s .060”. You’ll notice how smooth they are right away.
